Converting Data

Converting Molecular data from pdb format into the gamut of mainstream modeling and animation programs has been a difficult obstacle to overcome in the creation of quality molecular graphics and animations.  The intention of this section is to outline several strategies to make this process easier.  Several of the workflows are cumbersome and less practical, yet will be demonstrated in hopes that they be utilized in different ways.

OpenGL Intercept - This method produces optimized high quality models

Export/Import - Directly exporting from scientific visualization program to mainstream animation program

Scripts - Importing molecular data directly into mainstream 3D applications with scripts
